Bio: From Long Valley, NJ (small farm town); completed undergrad in BME at Hopkins
Extracurricular Activities:Medical and Educational Perspectives (MEP), a group that focuses on developing low cost medical innovations, Thread, sports through Hopkins and BME including club lacrosse, football, softball, and soccer
Bio: Grew up in Little Rock, AR and studied ME at the U of Arkansas (Woo Pig Sooie!)
Extracurricular Activities: I enjoy riding my bike and being outside, part of the Hopkins Cycling Team and we’re always looking for new members! I'm also a big fan of all things baseball and football related.
Extracurricular Activities: My hobbies range from heading outdoors to go hiking and kayaking to staying inside and watching three movies back to back. Among my favorite things to do in Baltimore is explore the cool communities one night at time: Baltimore Bike Parties and Baltimore Social Kickball leagues are among my favorite ways of doing so. At school I am proud to be involved with the extraordinary BME PhD Council, the Hopkins Imaging Initiative, Thread, and BME EDGE.
Bio: I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and moved to NJ at the end of elementary school. I went to Rutgers University for undergrad and majored in BME as well, with a focus in neuroscience.
Extracurricular Activities: BME rep for the Graduate Student Association (GSA), I frequented meetings/events of the Biomedical Scholars Association (BSA), and I became a STEM Specialist for STEMnet (a network of grad students/professionals that visit local high schools to help teach students); IM BME soccer teams, playing in the Baltimore Social Sports Leagues (a Baltimore-based sports league meant for post-college grads, involves drinking games at bars after games!), and I joined the Centrifugues (an A Capella group made of grad students based at the JHMI campus).
